MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
True Believers Community Connections (TBCC) has been awarded the highest level of accreditation by CARF International for children and adolescents in assessments and referrals, case management/services coordination, and community youth development. There is a total of 1108 organizations CARF accredited in IL and 269 in Chicago. Across IL and Chicago, TBCC is the only organization CARF accredited for community youth development. This achievement is an indication of our dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served, as well as evidence of our capability and commitment to address issues/needs and progress toward further improvement. Our trauma-informed training and development schedule speaks volumes of the need to continue youth programming in high-risk communities. Staff embraces the tools and adopts comprehensive approaches that lead to decreasing crime and delinquency.
i2i 6-Month Capacity Building (ICJIA Initiative)
I am pleased to announce that I’ve completed Institute 2 Innovate (i2i) 6-month capacity building curriculum that is designed to help organizations build the skills, knowledge, and connections to effectively respond to the challenges of violence that has plagued our most vulnerable communities. Because of this Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) initiative, True Believers Community Connections (TBCC) is now positioned with support and investment that improves and reinforces public safety.
